TERMS & CONDITIONS
FEES
1.0 Fees are payable
two weeks prior to the commencement of each Term and should be paid in
cash,
cheque, credit card (Visa/Mastercard), EFTPOS or direct debit.
1.1 Enrolment
automatically lapses if fees are not received by the due date.
1.2 Late Payment Fee $15.00
1.3 Examination Processing Fee $15.00
LESSON TIMES
2.0
Students are required to arrive at the Academy
at their exact appointed lesson time. Lessons will run strictly on
time, to
ensure that there is a smooth change over between students.
2.1
Due to time restraints students late for their scheduled lesson will not have
their lesson time extended.
2.2
Students and visitors are to
behave in an orderly manner whilst at the Academy.
2.3
Parents of school age children
must accompany children to and from the Academy door, at their appointed lesson
time.
2.4
It is important that parking
instructions are adhered to and noise levels are kept to a minimum outside the
premises.
2.5
If students forget to attend their lesson, the lesson will not be rescheduled or
refunded.
CANCELLATION OF LESSON BY STUDENT
Individual & Group Tuition
3.0
In order for cancelled
classes to be rescheduled, 24 hours notice is required,
no later than 12pm the
day before.
3.1 Two
Saturday’s a term are set aside for cancelled classes. No other times are
possible. All cancelled classes are forfeited.
CANCELLATION OF LESSON BY TEACHER
4.4 Where possible a replacement teacher will be allocated
when the primary teacher is unable to take a class. If no
replacement teacher is available the
lesson will be re-credited to the following term.
GIFT CARD POLICY
5.0 Books are not included.
5.1
Not refundable or redeemable for cash or to be used with
any other offer.
TERMINATION OF LESSONS

REFUND POLICY
6.0
Either party (student or teacher) may permanently
terminate lessons at any time for any reason. A refund of the
balance for
tuition fees will be paid to the students.
6.1 Refund will only be paid in
cheque.
6.2
A
refund will incur a $30.00 processing fee to cover administrative and banking
costs.
FAMILY HOLIDAYS - PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
7.0 No place will be held for students that go away on family
holidays unless tuition has been paid. Only
two classes will be rescheduled for family holidays.
7.1 Classes are conducted on public holidays. A student may request
for a lesson to be taken at another
time if desired. Lesson falling on a public holiday cannot be
cancelled, they can only be rescheduled.
AUSTRALIAN MUSIC EXAMINATION BOARD (AMEB)
8.0 The teacher has the authority to cancel
a a students exam enrolment due to lack of class attendance leading up
to their exam.
8.1 The student/parent will cover all costs
resulting from cancellation and/or rescheduling of exams.
8.2 Parents/students are responsible for ensuring their
child are available for examination during the nominated
examination session.
