PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR MUSIC TEACHERS
Professional Development (PD) courses are
conducted over one (1) day during term and school holidays.
Professional Development seminars are available for
Music Teachers interested in implementing keyboard laboratories, music
technology, Sibelius and music creativity within their teaching practice.
Seminars are also offered in VCE Music Styles 1-4 and Solo Performance Units
3-4.

professional scores and compose music on the worlds most popular music notation

Learn to produce midi-files, sequencing, sampling and CD recording. Enhance your
teaching by implementing strategies that incorporates music technology as part

VCE MUSIC
Analytical approaches
are discussed in relation to texture, form, melodic development, harmony, and
musical elements. Discussion includes music creativity, composition and music
technology within the frameworks of the VCE outcomes.

music theory pedagogy. Make learning music theory easy, fun, progressive, and relevant to
student needs. Implement contemporary approaches and music technology for
learning and teaching music theory.

understanding is developed and comprehended. Learn composition and improvisation
techniques to incorporate within your teaching.
KEYBOARD SKILLS
Learn chord
techniques and keyboard skills that will have you improvising and playing lead
sheets in no time. Adopt contemporary learning theories and modern teaching
innovations in group keyboard tuition.
