COMMUNITY FESTIVAL PROGRAM
19-23 March 2007
Congratulations to Luke Mascarenhas,
Rachanna Pillay, Shinead Borkovic, Rebecca Galea, and Annalisa Fernandez on
their fantastic performance at Highpoint Shopping Centre on the 23rd of March
2007. The Australian Keyboard Academy participated the annual Community Festival
held at Highpoint SC during the 19-23 of March. The AKA participated in 30
minute public performance-demonstration on Centre Stage with the highlight of
the performance, 3 year old Rebecca Galea playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Below are pictures of each performance.
Centre Stage Performance - 23rd March 2007 5pm
 
Above Rebecca Galea (3yrs of age) playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Rebecca's first piano performance was highly praised by all.
Rebecca has had 10 piano lessons and is an excellent example of starting to
learn at an ideal age of 3.
 
Above Rachanna Pillay (13yrs of age) playing When the Saints go Marching in.
Rachanna began learning piano this year and in a short time of 8 weeks has
given her first public piano performance.
 
Above Shinead Borkovic (16 yrs of age) played two works.
Theme to Forrest Gump and In the Mood. Both works where highly praised for
their creativity and improvisation.

Above Luke Mascarenhas performed an improvisation over a 12 bar blues.
Luke's performance demonstrated the art of composing and improvising music
on the spot.

Above Annalisa Fernandez (13yrs of age) performed Mary Ann.
Annalisa has only had 8 piano
lessons.
Her first performance also involved
creating-composing her own ending to the performance.
